Skiing, ski touring, snowshoeing, sledding, or cross-country skiing – whichever way you love to experience winter, the mountains are right at your doorstep. And when the day winds down, retreat to your private spa, relive your highlights, and watch the snowflakes drift past the window before you sink into your comfortable bed.

The Gitschberg Jochtal ski area – considered one of Italy’s most family-friendly resorts – stretches from 1,300 to 2,500 metres and offers a wide range of slopes for every skill level. And the best part? The very first slope begins just across from our house, leading you straight to the Schilling lift.

There’s a special kind of silence beyond the slopes – one you simply have to experience. When the meadows lie deep under snow, the world transforms into a sparkling winter wonderland. Throughout the Pustertal Valley, marked winter hiking trails and groomed cross-country tracks invite discovery, including the panoramic Rodeneck–Lüsner Alm mountain pasture cross-country ski trailat 2,000 metres, stretching over 11.4 km.
A true highlight is the Fane Alm. In winter, when its huts are blanketed in snow, it becomes a storybook setting for sledding, ski touring, and snowshoeing. To make things easier, we’re happy to lend you snowshoes and hiking poles free of charge.
Not far from our apartments in Valles/Vals, a natural ice rink with 2,000 m² of pure skating fun awaits. Glide across the ice, surrounded by mountain scenery.
For even more thrills, head to the natural toboggan run right next to the Schilling slope or take on the BRIMI Winter Run – at 6.8 km, one of South Tyrol’s longest sledging trails, winding from the Gitschhütte mountain hut down to Maranza/Meransen.
